Key to realising AI’s true growth potential for the UK is embedding it in ways that unite and amplify the country’s great foundations: our world-class research and education institutions, dynamic start-up and scale-up scene, and deep expertise across multiple sectors and specialisms.
To accelerate this, we are the UK’s first single point of engagement bringing together different parts of the AI ecosystem to align priorities, coordinate delivery, and mobilise action at scale. AI needs to spread like steam once did.

AI for Growth will focus on three national priorities:

AI Reskilling
Support the UK's 10 million AI Reskilling national target, geared towards equipping people and organisations, especially SMEs, for the changing world of work.

AI Security
Enable secure, trustworthy, and well-governed AI development, through sector-specific guidelines and use cases

AI Infrastructure
Lay the foundations for sovereign AI, by accelerating UK digital infrastructure expansion and enabling access

AI for Growth operates as a voluntary, cross-sector membership body bringing together frontier AI companies, large corporates and technology providers, SMEs, government and regulators, academia, and civil society.
Membership is contribution-led: members commit capital, capability, data, time, or leadership to advance shared initiatives. In return, they gain influence, insight, trusted networks, and a seat at the table shaping the UK's AI-driven growth agenda.
